Every students who had visited 7 colleges could receive a free hot dog for free if they have a representative sign a ticket. Miramar college had allow other universities and large colleges on campus in order for students that wanted to get a transfer information about their possible future without having to leave Mira Mesa. There is a very large event going on in Miramar right in front of the H building since last Tuesday April 23, 2013. Here are some people who think visit other colleges/universities is a great idea for their future.
"I thinks it's a great resource to have for my future plan."-- Ninfa Ramirez Major in Sport Training
"The college fair was pointless because getting and finding a college is all about who you know and not what know."-- Earl Relf Major in Air frame and power plant technologist
"Great! It's good for the students who are looking to transfer."-- Ferrari Pandoy Major in Culinary Arts
"Great, it was very helpful because I'm going to transfer to a university."-- Robert Haukes Major in electrical engineer.
The side pictures with the accepting schools, plus degree programs really shows that there are a lot of opportunities out there. I want to transfer to SDSU in a few years and I got plenty of information how to to meet those requirements. I was interested to hear about the acceptance rate and the successful number of students that find good jobs after ASU. This shows you can expand your horizons even as a community college student. I was given information about Allaiant University but it seems very expensive. Im very pleased with Miramar college and the costs. Hopefully I can attend a college fair when I'm available to get further information on opportunities I can lean on.
ReplyDeleteIt’s great to know that our school is really concerned with our future, especially for those students that are planning to transfer to universities to continue their education. It’s also really convenient for them to have these visits from the University and College because they won’t have to visit these campuses. Also they can ask for the financial aid information, which I think all of us is very concerned about this particular subject. I think the food idea thing or the free hotdog is also a very wise thing to attract student to take a look at the possible information. As for me, I won’t transfer to a University because I must first widen my experience in my profession.
ReplyDeleteGreat information on these schools, many students need to know as much as possible before transferring to one of these schools or any other. I like that these schools offer a wide variety of disciplines and are conveniently located around major cities of the state. What I find pretty cool to is that they offer graduate programs for their disciplines so you don’t have to worry about going to another school that offers a graduate program for the discipline they don’t have. I like how these schools come to Miramar and offer information and give you firsthand knowledge on any of your questions.
ReplyDeleteThis article gives good information on these colleges, I myself have been thinking about where to transfer to. The scholarships these colleges offer are something I'm taking into consideration for when I apply to one. The only thing I worry about is whether to go out of state because I know there's a better chance at getting a scholarship, but I don't want to leave Sn Diego. This article really makes me think.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the article. I learned a lot about the schools you mentioned because the information was very clear and organized so it was easy to read. It's also good to know that Miramar College makes it very convinient for stutends to get information about future colleges that they might want to attend. I have never attended a colleghe fair at the campus but after reading about how helpful the people there are I'm gonig to have to go to one now.
ReplyDeleteThis is some great info and is great that miramar college offers this program every month. I like that this article gave all the college's availible to take a look at also that it gives info on it. I would love to tranfer to a big college someday, it's great that im at a great school right now. I would like to maybe go to UCSD, I heard they may have a golf team. I would like to find a school near by, so I wouldn't have to leave San Diego.
ReplyDeletethis was a good article it nice to see that the universities are looking out for the community colleges students who could use the help and information on how to get in to a four year college. I have never attended a college fair at the campus but after reading about how helpful the people there are I'm gonig to have to go to one now. I also like that these schools offer a wide variety of disciplines and are conveniently located around major cities of the state. this article really shows that there are a lot of opportunities out there.
ReplyDeleteindeed every student in collage is ambitious to transfer to a university one day. thank you for sharing such a useful and profitable information with the class. the list of universities and the types of financail aid they offer.this grabs a lot of attention and interest from students. i personally did not know that miramar collage has such programs that makes it convinient for student to have a better view of thier future collages.
ReplyDeleteGood article, you guys have done an amazing job, I like the information that you provide us in this article, I din't know that Miramar Collegue had this program, In my opinion it is very useful for the students that are planing in get transfer to the university,I bet this program has help a lot students to chose the best for them, and It is very nice that you tell us about the Financial Aid that every university offers, now I have an Idea where to start when I need get information to get transfer in the future, thank you very much for the information and again good job.
ReplyDeleteThis article was great! This is a great opportunity for students to see and ask questions about the schools. I feel like this is a great way for students to see what school they want to transfer to instead of traveling all the way to where the school is located and see what it’s like. I liked how this article explained and gave information on the different types of universities that attend. It’s also great to know that universities give community college students the chance to transfer to a bigger school to keep pursuing their career and do bigger and better things.
